Former Scotland Boss Craig Brown Happy With Euro 2012 Qualifying Draw
'Soft' group gives Scotland hope of long-awaited qualification...
By Nick Price
Former Scotland manager Craig Brown believes that new boss Craig Levein can get off to the perfect start by taking the Tartan Army to the Euro 2012 Championships.
Scotland find themselves drawn against holders Spain in Group I, along with the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Liechtenstein - a group that, according to Brown, is the easiest faced by Scotland in a long time.
"I've got to concede that Spain are the obvious favourites, while Lithuania and Liechtenstein shouldn't be a problem," Brown told Sky Sports News.
"But Scotland should be optimistic of getting at least second place in that group.
"Scotland have a great chance there. That's arguably the softest group they've had in recent times."
