1965: Gheorghe Hagi: Romanian football legend Hagi had two spells in Spanish football both on the back of World Cup finals performances with his country. In 1990 the attacking midfielder signed for Real Madrid from Steaua Bucharest, staying with Los Merengues for two seasons before moving to Italy. Following the 1994 World Cup he joined Barcelona but after two seasons left, signing for Galatasaray. During his time in Spanish football Hagi won two Spanish Super Copa's, one in each spell. Hagi won 125 caps for Romania and scored 35 goals.

1975: Giovanni van Bronckhorst:
After making his name at Feyenoord, van Bronckhorst had spells at Rangers and Arsenal before joining Barcelona in 2003 under fellow Dutchman Frank Rijkaard. The left-back played 119 Primera Liga games for Barca and won two league titles and a UEFA Champions League medal before returning to Feyenoord. He has a total of 96 caps for the Netherlands.

1985: Cristiano Ronaldo:
Current Portugal national team captain, Ronaldo's profile sky-rocketed during his time in England where he collected nine medals and made 292 appearances in six seasons for Manchester United. In 2008 Ronaldo collected a plethora of individual awards including the Ballon d'Or, FIFA World Player of the Year, back to back PFA Player of the Year Awards and the European Golden Boot. Following the 2008/09 season he became the world's most expensive player when he finally completed a much anticipated move to Real Madrid for €94 million. Since making his international debut Ronaldo has won 68 caps, scoring 22 goals for Portugal.

1986 Manuel Fernandes:
Central midfielder Fernandes came through the youth ranks at Benfica and after loan spells in the Premier League he signed for Valencia in 2007, winning a Copa del Rey title in his first season. Having failed to establish himself as a first team regular Fernandes has seen two transfer moves fall through, firstly with Everton in 2008 and then last week when he had been set for a move to Inter before the move collapsed over fitness concerns. To date he has four international caps.
