1954: Henk ten Cate: After a seven year playing career as a left winger, ten Cate turned to coaching and trained a number of European sides before linking up with Frank Rijkaard at Barcelona, becoming assistant first team coach. There he helped Barca to a UEFA Champions League and two Spanish League titles before coaching Ajax, assisting at Chelsea and coach Panathinaikos, where he was sacked just yesterday after one season in charge.
1970: Djalminha: This Brazilian midfielder came to Spanish football in 1997, joining Deportivo La Coruna, where he scored 38 goals in 137 Primera Liga appearances and helped them to the league title in 1999/2000 and to a Spanish cup two seasons later before joining Austria Vienna on loan and later playing in Mexican football, where he retired. He played 14 times for Brazil and was part of the team that won the Copa America in 1997.
1971: Victor Aristizabal: Colombian forward Aristizabal spent most of his career in South America football, most notably with Cruzeiro in Brazil and Atletico Nacional in Colombia but had a brief spell in the Primera Liga, wih Valencia in 1994. He won 66 caps with Colombia and won the 2001 Copa America, finishing as the tournaments top scorer.
