Spanish Cumpleanos: Antonio Puerta
Every weekday Goal.com celebrates the birthday of past and present La Liga-related figures. Today includes all those born on November 26...
1975: Vladislav Radimov: Now a director with Zenit St Petersburg, Radimov had a four year spell in Spanish football at the end of the nineties. At real Zaragoza, he won a Copa del Rey crown and made a total of 63 Primera Liga appearances before returning to Russian football. The right-sided midfielder also won 33 caps for Russia and retired from playing in 2008, after winning the UEFA Cup with Zenit.
1984: Antonio Puerta (died 2007): This talented wing-back came through the ranks at Andalusian side Sevilla and established himself in the team that won back to back UEFA Cups in 2006 and 2007, scoring the winner in the semi-final win over Schalke in 2006. He had also won his first cap for Spain before his tragic death in 2007, which came days after he collapsed in a Primera Liga tie against Getafe.
