Spanish Cumpleanos: Juande Ramos

Every weekday Goal.com celebrates the birthday of past and present La Liga-related figures. Today includes all those born on September 25...

RPL: Juande Ramos - CSKA
1954: Juande Ramos: Currently interim manager of CSKA Moscow, Ramos made his name as one of the best coaches in Spanish football while in charge of Sevilla. He lead the Nervionenses to two successive UEFA Cup titles in 2006 and 2007. His time in Andalusia was followed by an unsuccessful time in charge of Tottenham Hotspur. Ramos later replaced Bernd Schuster as coach of Real Madrid on a short-term contract and joined CSKA earlier this month.

1965: Rafael Martin Vazquez: This central midfielder had two spells at Real Madrid, beginning in 1980 with the B side before progressing to the first team three years later. He played 179 times for Los Blancos in a seven year term, before spending two seasons at Torino and a short stint at Marseille. The former Spain international returned to his homeland in 1992 and made a further 73 appearances for Madrid before signing for Deportivo La Coruna in 1995. During his time at Madrid he won six La Liga crowns, two UEFA Cups and two Copa del Rey titles. After a brief spell with Karlsruhe in Germany, he retired in 1998.

1980: Nikola Zigic: Serbian striker Zigic moved to the Primera Division in 2006, joining Racing Santander from Red Star Belgrade. After scoring twelve goals in his debut season in Spain, Valencia forked out somewhere in the region of  €25 million for his services but his time at the Mestalla has proved largely unsuccessful. The striker rediscovered his scoring touch while on loan at Racing in the second half of last season, bagging 13 goals in 19 games for the Racinguista's. Capped 38 times by Serbia, Zigic has scored 14 international goals.

1980: Matias Pavoni:
Argentinian striker Pavoni spent six seasons with Cadiz. Scoring 29 times in 158 appearances, Pavoni was an integral part of the side that gained promotion to the Primera Division in 2004/05 before being relegated again the following season and suffering further relegation heartache from the Segunda Division in 2007/08, his final season with the club.
