Bayern Munich narrowly beat Freiburg 2-1 on Saturday. Fans of the Bundesliga giants will be relieved to know that none of their players picked up any injuries at the weekend as they prepare to take on French champions Girondins de Bordeaux.
The Bavarians’ head coach, Louis van Gaal, will be worried about the absence of his two star players, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, especially because back-up Ivica Olic is out of action due to injury as well.
Luca Toni, Mark van Bommel and Martin Demichelis are all up and running again after missing out on the start of Bayern Munich’s Champions League campaign due to injury. All three are available for Wednesday’s clash.
