The Turkey international has pledged to keep on working hard after coming 20th in Goal's annual list of the world's best footballersGalatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz has revealed his pride at finishing in the top 20 in the 2012-13 Goal 50.
The Turkey international enjoyed a fantastic season, topping the Super Lig scoring charts with 24 goals as Fatih Terim's side retained their title.
He also found the net eight times in the Champions League - as many as Goal 50 winner Lionel Messi - and is delighted to have had his efforts recognised.
"It's a source of great pride for me, my family, maybe Turkey too," he told the club's official website.
"Football isn't an individual sport. I owe this success to my club, coaches and team-mates. I hope I can be a role model for young players.
"My target is to improve with every passing day and I believe I've been able to do it so far. I'll continue to work hard to be in the list next season too."
Burak is preparing for his second season at the Turk Telekom Arena following his move from Trabzonspor last summer.
