Honduras Under-20 national team coach Javier Padilla is expected to travel to the United States in the coming days to discuss the possibility of DC United midfielder Andy Najar being called up to the squad.
"I think they will call him up," the tactician told Honduran newspaper El Heraldo. "I will travel there in the coming days to talk with him in Washington, and see if he will join us.
"I have a hunch he will accept on this occasion. He is being encouraged to join us.
"In addition, it is already clear that he cannot play for the United States national team until 2013 [due to his immigration status]. I do not want him to wait for so long to be in our national team.
"I hope things go well."
Goal.com reported several weeks ago that the 17-year-old starlet is being monitored by Spanish giants Real Madrid.
