After a failed move to Fulham FC, Guillermo Ochoa returned to Mexico City and reported to America on Tuesday.
Ochoa, who underwent preseason physical examinations with the rest of the team, lamented the failed transfer.
"It was an option that I would have loved," Ochoa told Mexican daily Record. "Playing in Europe is something I will always have on my mind."
Ochoa's task now is to focus for the upcoming Clausura 2011 season, which for America will also include action in Copa Libertadores.
While America will benefit from having Ochoa around, the Mexican international said he would continue eyeing a transfer to the Old World.
"We're not going to give up hope because of this hiccup," Ochoa said.
