MLS Playoffs: VIDEO: Beckham Revels In His First Playoff Win
Watch video of David Beckham's reactions after his LA Galaxy advanced to the Western Conference final.
David Beckham has yet to taste defeat in the Major League Soccer playoffs.
Against Chivas USA in the conference semifinals, the England international helped set up the series-deciding goal. The two Los Angeles-based clubs drew the first leg 2-2.
The second leg stayed goalless until midway through the second half. That's when the class of Beckham made the difference. The 34-year-old hit a swerving 50-yard cross-field ball into the path of the streaking Landon Donovan. The American attacker centered for Mike Magee, who took a leg to the groin as Galaxy won a penalty.
Donovan slotted the PK straight down the middle to give LA the win and a ticket to the Western Conference final.
Beckham rubbed it in by hitting another sweeping long ball a handful of minutes later. It proved his last touch of the ball, as a lower back knock forced him off in the waning minutes.
Watch below for Beckham's thoughts on the win and the playoffs.
