Manchester City star Carlos Tevez has admitted he is struggling to find his motivation following his World Cup 2010 campaign with Argentina.
The former Manchester United striker hit 29 goals in his first season at Eastlands last season and will again be the focal point of Roberto Mancini's challenge for major honours.
Tevez transferred his domestic form to South Africa this summer, but has been left disappointed by the treatment he and his team-mates were given following their elimination by Germany.
He has accused the Argentina FA of humiliating the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Lionel Messi by dumping them in economy class flights home to Buenos Aires and treating them 'like chickens.'
"We returned to Argentina the morning after we lost against Germany," he told the News of the World.
"But we flew in economy instead of business. The AFA directors put us at the bottom of the plane, as we were chickens, all together.
"The players tried their best and did not deserve such disrespect because we still played some good games and entertained in South Africa.
"I'm trying to motivate myself, because the World Cup was my goal. For the first time in my life, I'm having problems to find something that motivates me."
Tevez has yet to link up with the City squad, who have been embarking on their US tour, while the Argentine has enjoyed an extended holiday following his World Cup duty.
However, Tevez went on to speak about his fond memories of his time with rivals United but though the power balance in Manchester was shifting towards Eastlands.
"People in England are cold, but they love me because I have a lot of charisma. I remember [Manchester] United's fans used to sing 'Argentina! Argentina!'," he added.
"I enjoyed so much my two years in Manchester United, but to leave them was the best choice. My era there was finished.
"[Manchester] City is a smaller team than United, but believe me, it is growing really fast. We played well last season, despite not qualifying for the Champions League."
Tevez also promised to improve his English after describing himself as a 'moron' for not learning the language quicker, having now been based in the UK for four years following his switch to West Ham United.
