thumbnail Hello,

The readers have voted in favour of a Spanish victory…

With just over an hour to go until kick-off of the World Cup final between the Netherlands and Spain at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg, it seems’s readers are narrowly favouring a victory for la Furia Roja with 2-1 as the predicted scoreline.

Following a public vote involving over 8500 readers, 16 percent have hedged their bets on a Spanish victory by two goals to one.

Shortly behind was 15 percent of the vote hedged on a Dutch victory by the same scoreline.

Considering Vicente Del Bosque's side have won each of their knock-out fixtures by one goal to nil on route to the final, it has come as a surprise that a repeat scorline came in at third during the poll.
