Goal.com Poll Results: Spain Will Defeat Netherlands In 2010 World Cup Final

The readers have spoken, and they reckon La Furia Roja will come out on top...
The Netherlands and Spain meet for the first time in World Cup finals history this evening, and a new name will be engraved on the famous trophy for the first time since 1978.

Goal.com asked their readers who they believed would emerge victorious - the Oranje, or La Furia Roja. Over 14,000 voters took part, and although the margin of victory was close, Spain are Goal.com's readers tip to the lift the trophy in South Africa tonight.

Vicente del Bosque's side just edged ahead of Bert van Maarwijk's men with 54.32% of the vote, versus 45.68% opting for the Dutch.

Can the Spanish Armada fulfil their tag as pre-tournament favourites, or can the men in Orange clinch a belated World Cup crown for the purveyors of Total Football?
