Milan and Inter could enter a transfer war for Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The German international has used the World Cup as a shop window and he has achieved success in advertising his talent to both Milanese clubs.
Rossoneri chief Adriano Galliani has been keeping an eye on Schweinsteiger and he likes what he has seen.
"At the World Cup Schweinsteiger has impressed me the most," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
But, whipping together a move is likely to prove costly for a club whose aim is retrenchment. Bayern want at least €25 million for their man.
That figure has not scared off interest from the Nerazzurri though. The pink paper reports the German is an alternative to Javier Mascherano, the club's first choice transfer target.
Inter chief Massimo Moratti likes the player, but he needs to sell off some assets to fund a move.
