Marek Hamsik has insisted that he is focused solely on the World Cup and not on increasing speculation about his club future.

The 22-year-old Slovakian midfielder has been linked with numerous clubs around Europe after earning rave reviews for his performances with Napoli this season.

A number of clubs in the Premier League are thought to be interested in Hamsik, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City all linked to reports over his future.

The player himself though is unconcerned with the speculation, insisting that Napoli are yet to receive a bid.

“I don’t follow it much, it’s just press speculation,” he told Slovakian newspaper SME.

"No official offer has arrived at Napoli.

"Money is good but to be happy I need to play regularly,” he added.

Hamsik is currently focused on Slovakia’s preparations for the World Cup in South Africa, and believes that his nation will face a challenge to advance from their group.

Although they are paired alongside Italy, it is widely suggested that Slovakia should be able to advance at the expense of Paraguay and New Zealand.

Hamsik himself is insisting that there are no easy games at the World Cup.

He added: "Every group is difficult, including the one that we are in.

"We know almost nothing about New Zealand and although they are not considered one of the favourites, they must have some good skills as they have qualified for the tournament.

"I think Paraguay are stronger than us but that does not mean we cannot beat them. We want to compete with them for progress."
