New Zealand striker Chris Killen labelled the All Whites final World Cup warm-up game against Chile a "shambles" in terms of organisation, a game they eventually lost 2-0.

Goals from Gonzalo Fierro and Esteban Paredes midway through the second half sealed the victory for the South American outfit but Killen was not impressed by the lack of a pre-match meal for his side at the venue near Nelspruit, while there was also reports of a lack of hot water in the showers following the game.

"It wasn't one of our better performances. The ball retention wasn't good but I think you can put some of it down to the preparation. There was no pre-match meal ready and it was a shambles," the 28-year-old was quoted as saying by the New Zealand Herald before declaring that he is not overly worried about the lack of a potent goal threat from the team's forwards.

"If you look over the years we have lacked a goal scoring threat but we have scored against good teams. I think it was more about ball retention today. We've travelled a lot and it's nice to be in camp and now we've got to go away and get ready for the opening game."

Killen also declared that his side cannot wait for the finals to begin this weekend.

"The atmosphere was brilliant today and we can't wait for the World Cup to start."

Coach Ricki Herbert has demanded more from his strikers stating that the need more of an edge up front.

"We need more spark up front. They need to be a little sharper," he noted.
