Bafana Bafana midfielder Steven Pienaar says his future at Everton is the least of his concerns ahead of the World Cup.
Schillo's future at Goodison Park has been a subject of intense speculation in recent months since he was first linked with a move to Bayern Munich. Everton apparently have grave concerns as he has a little over a year left on his contract with them and has so far failed to agree terms on a new contract.
However, Pienaar says he is not bothered about speculation currently linking him with potential moves to Manchester United, Liverpool and, lately, Tottenham Hotspur.
"As a player my job is to play and that is for my management team to deal with. I'm totally focused on Bafana and the World Cup. We will have to wait and see, but the Everton supporters have been very good to me and it's been good for me to play for their team, but for now I'm focusing on the World Cup," said Pienaar, who was recently voted Everton's Player of the Season.
Meanwhile, Pienaar hopes Carlos Alberto Parreira will afford him some time on the field in today's international friendly against Colombia.
"I'm confident that I'm fit enough to play in this game and I'm looking forward to it. But at this stage I'm not sure if I will play because the coach hasn't said anything. Hopefully I will get my chance. I just have to fight for my place.
"It's great that we get to play a top class side like Colombia because they play a similar style to Mexico and this game will give us a feel for what we can expect on June 11," ‘Schillo' added, according to Kickoff.com.
