World Cup 2010: Matthew Booth Delighted With South Africa's Progress At Brazilian Training Camp

2009 FIFA Confederations Cup : Younis Mahmoud - Matthew Booth, South Africa - Iraq (PA)
Matthew Booth says both the Bafana Bafana management and players have been delighted with their progress at the camp in Brazil so far.

The South Africans played the third match of their tour on Monday night, beating Rio side Boavista 3-0 courtesy of goals from Siphiwe Tshabalala, Lebo Mokoena and Kermit Erasmus.

“The lads played very well,” he told KickOff.com. “We kept our discipline and were dangerous up front, and we still haven’t conceded after three games. The coaching staff seems to be more than happy with our progress.

“Today we fly off to Belo Horizonte to prepare for the first really tough one, against Cruzeiro.”

Booth says they have been helped in the preparations by the friendliness of the people in the country.

“The lads are keeping in touch with family through Skype and are making use of the wi-fi at the base. We are also being helped a great deal by the SA consulate; it puts our minds at ease when in a foreign country.”
