Slovenia beat Russia in a two-legged play-off back in November 2009 to book their ticket for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The Slovenians had only qualified for the World Cup once before, but they're quite optimistic about their chances this summer.

"I was very pleased when I saw the draw and I’m confident we can make it into the next round. It's going to be hard but it's definitely do-able. England are the favourites of course, but USA and Algeria are decent sides too," said defender Matej Mavric to FIFA.com.

"We have a good team ourselves and we can get through to the next round if we work together. We're always there for each other both on and off the pitch. That helped us a lot in qualifying and was probably the most important factor behind our success.

"Qualifying for South Africa was a fantastic achievement, especially when you consider we're only a country of two million people. When I look back, more and more fans have supported us with each passing game and that's great to see. The 2010 World Cup is going to do Slovenian football the power of good."
