World Cup 2010: Ghana FA To Name Spies On Group D Opponents

Ghana are to employ the services of scouts to spy on their World Cup opponents…

World Cup-bound Ghana will soon disclose the names of scouts that will be contracted to spy on their Group D opponents.

The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwasi Nyantakyi, told the local media that the scouts are to feed the technical team of the Black Stars with accurate information to map out strategies against their opponents.

"We know our opponents have started monitoring us already and we would like to fortify our technical department also ahead of the tournament. We believe that it can help our course.

"At the last World Cup in Germany, we employed the services of three scouts and the benefits were enormous.

"Very soon we will make their names public, as the build up to the tournament begins right about now," he said.

The Black Stars are paired with Germany, Australia and Serbia in the group stage of next summer’s World Cup in South Africa.

During the last World Cup the west African nation had three coaches in Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, Sam Arday and Robert Sackey, who were charged with monitoring group opponents Italy, USA and Czech Republic.
