World Cup 2010: Italy Football Chief Giancarlo Abete Comments On Togo Shooting & South Africa Security
The Italians remain calm about World Cup security following African Nations Cup shooting...
The three fatalities, which included two members of the Togo delegation, suffered in Friday's deadly attack in Angola sent shockwaves throughout the football community.
However, Abete is confident there will not be a similar incident in South Africa.
"Togo? This was very grave and traumatic, but it's something which is not related to football," Abete told the press.
"A tight security system has been drawn up in South Africa and I think Sepp Blatter said we should all remain calm for the World Cup.
"Of course, this doesn't mean that tourists heading to South Africa must not be careful in particular situations."
