World Cup 2010 Exclusive: Ghana Supporters Club President Thinks Black Stars Can Progress To Round Of 16

Ghana is in a tough group but will find it easy to sail through to the round of 16, predicts the president of the Ghana Supporters' Union Abraham Boakye.
Ghana - the first African country to competitively qualify for the World Cup - has been paired in Group D against Germany, Australia and Serbia.

"I'm so happy about the draw. It's a cool chop for us. Australia is not that strong for Ghana and Serbia can not be a standing block against us.

"Germany is the only side that can be tough but I'm not nervous. We are all equals in this tournament and must be prepared to play against any team," Boakye popularly known as the 'one man supporter' told after the draw on Friday.

He said avoiding Brazil and Argentina in the group stages was a good omen for the West African side.

"Anytime a third world country is playing such teams officiating does not favour us. When Ghana met Brazil in Germany 2006 we played a beautiful game but the referee was not good."

Ghana is going to make a record. It will be in the semi-finals. It will be too early to determine who will win the World Cup," he concluded.
