Starting from December 6th, the Ghana Football Association will put the country's allocation of 2010 World Cup tickets on sale.

FIFA has made available 2,700 tickets per group game for Ghanaian supporters, KickOffghana.com reports.

The Ghana FA is likely to introduce an online application system on its official website and a lottery system to dish out the tickets.

The Ghana Supporters Union hopes to get special dispensation, its president Abraham Boakye told Goal.com.

He said the members are in high spirits to represent the West African nation at the big football fiesta. “We’ll be there in our numbers. We can’t wait too and this is for Africans to be part of history making.”

Come next Friday, Ghana will know its group opponents when the World Cup draw takes place in South Africa.

Local reports say a lot of fans are preparing to be in South Africa to witness FIFA’s largest event. It is expected that there would be a mad rush for the tickets since it is one of the basic requirements for the first ever event visa.
