South Korea Coach Huh Jung-Moo Not Worried About World Cup Draw

The East Asians are feeling confident...

Huh Jung-Moo coach, Korea 100
South Korea coach Huh Jung-moo is not thinking too much about the teams he wants or doesn’t want at the 2010 World Cup draw that will be held in Cape Town on December 4.

The 2002 semi-finalists are in good form. Last week’s 1-0 defeat to Serbia in a friendly in London was the first in 28 games for the Taeguk Warriors.

Korea probably did enough to earn a draw in that match and that is what happened four days earlier in Denmark.

Coach Huh took a good deal of positives from the 180 minutes of away action against fellow World Cup qualifiers.

“We got a lot out of the games in Europe. Unlike in the past, we didn’t fall apart when playing strong teams in Europe," Huh told reporters at Incheon International Airport.

Thoughts are turning to which teams South Korea will play next summer in their seventh successive appearance on the global stage but Huh was playing it cool.

“There is no guarantee of a good result even when you play against teams that are thought to be weak.

"For us, who we get in the draw is not a big deal; we just want to win against each team we play.”

“The most important thing is that we do well. If we let out standards slip then we will have difficulties.”
