Exclusive: Anything’s Possible For Ivory Coast At 2010 World Cup - Guy Demel
The Hamburg defender believes that the Elephants may just have a shot at glory if they can safely negotiate their early fixtures...
"We can't really be satisfied with this draw," he told Goal.com. "We shouldn't have allowed Germany to score that late goal. However, altogether a draw was a fair result.
"Germany are ahead of us as a team. You can't say that it's a bad result for us to draw an away game against a strong opponent such as Germany.
"I'm not sure whether we can make it to the quarter-finals in South Africa. Firstly, we need to do better than last time at the World Cup finals and make it through the group stage," the Hamburg defender continued.
"If we succeed to qualify for the knock-out phase, anything is possible for Ivory Coast from there on."
