Italy coach Marcello Lippi has opened the national team door to Juventus striker Amauri and Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

Amauri's desire to play for the Nazionale has received mixed views in Casa Azzurri. Giampaolo Pazzini opposed the idea, but Nicola Legrottaglie sponsored the Brazilian-born forward to feature.

Lippi was impartial on Tuesday, claiming he did not want to hear more "nonsense" regarding the 29-year-old, but he has already shifted his viewpoint.

"The indications from World Cup qualifying mean little, very little," Lippi told Rai Sport.

"I have a varied group and it needs to be complete. If I haven't considered a certain player, then why should I not consider him if the conditions are right? Look at Aquilani for example.

"If he plays with consistency for Liverpool then why shouldn't I consider him? As for Amauri, there is still some time to discuss him.

"Amauri is a Brazilian, but we can talk when he is Italian."
