thumbnail Hello,

The World Champions welcome the Netherlands to Pescara this weekend in what is likely to be a footballing feast. Goal.com invites you to pick your starting XI...

Calling all armchair coaches; the time has come to pick your Italy team.

There have been some wholesale changes for the friendly round of matches. Most of them have been down to a number of injuries.

Vincenzo Iaquinta is still out with a knee injury, while Fabio Quagliarella has been dropped. They have been replaced by Rafaele Palladino and Giampaolo Pazzini.

There are two new faces in midfield in Davide Biondini and Antonio Candreva. Daniele De Rossi, Claudio Marchisio and Gennaro Gattuso are all out with injuries. In defence, Palermo's Mattia Cassani makes the grade, as does Napoli's Christian Maggio.

As usual, Antonio Cassano is nowhere to be seen. Gianluigi Buffon had flu, but recovered and is available. There is no Davide Santon, the Inter man is with the Italy U-21's. Parma's Daniele Galloppa completes the new faces.

Here is the 25 man squad list:

Goalkeepers: BUFFON (JUVENTUS), DE SANCTIS (NAPOLI), MARCHETTI (CAGLIARI)

Defenders: BOCCHETTI (GENOA), CANNAVARO (JUVENTUS), CASSANI (PALERMO), CHIELLINI (JUVENTUS), CRISCITO (GENOA), GROSSO (JUVENTUS), LEGROTTAGLIE (JUVENTUS), MAGGIO (NAPOLI), ZAMBROTTA (MILAN)

We ask you to leave your choices in the comments feature below using semi-colons to separate positions, and working from right to left. For example, here's a side that could line up in a 4-4-2 formation:

Buffon; Zambrotta, Chiellini, Cannavaro, Grosso; Palombo, Montolivo, Pirlo, Camoranesi; Rossi, Gilardino.

Forza Italia!
