Despite the Blancos sending documentation outlining the extent of Ronaldo's injury it appears the Portuguese officials seem determined to assess Ronaldo's fitness for themselves as they aim to overcome Bosnia in a two-legged World Cup play-off.
Coach Carlos Queiroz has already stated that he would include Ronaldo in the 23-man squad even if he could only play "a few minutes" of either match, most likely the second leg in Zenica on November 18.
"Players who will arrive next Wednesday will be subject to medical tests that will determine their physical condition and ability to remain in the squad," the statement read, according to AS.
The notice from the Portuguese federation makes no specific mention of Ronaldo but the statement also read that the results of physical examinations performed on players this Wednesday will be released in a "timely" manner.
