Mandjeck To Replace Injured Bassong For Cameroon
Cameroon manager Paul Le Guen has called up Mandjeck to replace Bassong who injured himself earlier this week.
As the Cameroonians will be hosted by Morocco next Saturday, Bassong will not be in Yaounde this week to help his compatriots make it to South Africa but will be replaced by Kaiserslautern's George Mandjeck.
The 20-year-old young Mandjeck had already been called up last month to replace Lille's player Aurelien Chedjou prior to the Togo match. Mandjeck could receive his second cap after his first less than a month ago against Angola in a friendly on October 14th.
