John Barnes Is Confident Of Landing Rwanda Job - Agent
Barnes was sacked last month by English League One club and now expects to lead Rwanda’s national team to glory.
The former Liverpool and England midfielder, John Barnes, is confident of securing the Rwandan Amavubi’s tactician job, after having a meeting with the nation's Sports Minister.
According to Barnes’ agent Winston Clarke, he anticipates a positive outcome when sports minister Joseph Habineza meets Rwanda's football governing body, FERWAFA, to decide on the right man for the job.
"One exciting fact about Habineza is that he is a very keen football fan. I was hugely impressed with his knowledge of the game and the professional teams he admires," Clarke told New Times over the weekend.
He also added that Barnes has one thing on his agenda, to spur Rwandan football to greater heights. Barnes is desperate to re-launch his coaching career, after being sacked by English League One side Tranmere Rovers last month.
