thumbnail Hello,

Egypt have mobilised their support for all-important World Cup clash against their fierce regional rivals...

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have cut ticket prices for the country's crucial World Cup qualifier at home to Algeria on November 14.

"We wanted to make the tickets more affordable - the prices should suit all classes," EFA board member, Hazem Al-Hawari, told FilGoal.com.

The initial prices, which were announced last week, drew widespread criticism, with many questioning whether the EFA were trying to take advantage of the fans' interest in the clash by raising the cost of entry.

The cheapest ticket will now sell for EGP15 (about $2).

Egypt have to beat Algeria by a three-goal margin to qualify directly for the World Cup for the first time since 1990.

A victory by a two-goal margin will set up a play-off against the Desert Foxes on a neutral venue to be determined by FIFA.
