Morocco’s Youssef Safri May Miss Cameroon Match Through Injury - Report
The Qatar based midfielder may not be available for Hassan Moumen to select if his knock is a serious one.
While the nature of the injury is yet to be revealed, it did cause the player to miss out on Qatar SC’s important league clash against Al Sadd, which his club ended up losing 3-0.
The former Raja Casablanca player was included in Hassan Moumen’s enlarged list of pre-selected players, and has been a mainstay in the team since his first cap in 2000, but he may be forced to sit out this time around.
Many Moroccan football supporters and analysts have identified Safri as a player that should retire from the international scene at the completion of this campaign, because he is no longer able to replicate the performances that made him one of the leaders of his generation, and an important player in his national team.
