According to Infosfoot.net, Tunisian national team assistant
coach Habib Mejri travelled to Djerba today in order to make the necessary plans to ensure that the Carthage Eagles have a successful three day training camp beginning on November 8th.
While he visited the hotel where the Tunisian squad will be housed during their stay and made reservations on their behalf, his main preoccupation was to ascertain the state of the third generation artificial pitch on which the North African footballers will practice on.
That factor is an important one considering that Humberto Coelho’s team will be forced to adapt to a similar pitch in Maputo when they face Mozambique in a game they must win so that they do not need to rely on Kenya’s help to qualify for the 2010 World Cup.
In fact, the Carthage Eagles are expected to travel to the Southern African nation a day or two earlier than they usually do for such trips in order to acclimate themselves to both the weather conditions and the playing surface.
