Francesco Totti Return Would Be Good For Italy - Giuseppe Rossi
The Azzurri hitman is backing calls for Totti's return to the national team setup...
Italy striker Giuseppe Rossi has thrown his weight behind a possible Francesco Totti return to the national team.
Totti claimed he would be open to a return. Marcello Lippi has left the door open for the Roma man, and now Rossi has added his voice as he backs 'Er Pupone' to come back to the Azzurri.
"Francesco Totti's eventual return would not weigh upon us. It's always nice for us youngsters to play with great champions. I'm still 22 and I have plenty of work to do," Rossi told the press at Coverciano.
The Villarreal striker, who is expected to start against Cyprus tomorrow turned his attention to the game.
"It will be an important test for us. The objective is to win and perform well for me and my team-mates. It will be like going home after spending five years at Parma," concluded the striker.
The Azzurri will welcome Cyprus to the Ennio Tardini in Parma for their final World Cup qualifier tomorrow.
