Rwanda coach Branko Tucak has dropped Bokota Labama (APR), Hussein Sibomana (Mukura), Daddy Birori
(Atraco) and Donatien Tuyizere (Atraco) from his squad to face Algeria in a crunch African Cup of Nations qualifying encounter away from home.
Amavubi assistant coach Eric Nshimiyimana told The New Times that the team’s early departure is aimed at helping the players acclimatise to the North African weather.
Nshimiyimana also said that Bokota was dropped because he had failed to shake off an ankle injury, while Tuyizere, Birori and Sibomana failed a fitness test.
The quartet join Mbuyu Twite and Olivier Karekezi, who will miss the crucial qualifier.
Mbuyu, who sat out Egypt’s return leg victory over Amavubi due to suspension, was overlooked, while Karekezi faces four weeks on the sidelines after undergoing thigh surgery two weeks ago.
