Rwanda Coach Branko Tucak Drops Four Ahead Of Algeria Clash
A lack of fitness is the reason the quartet have been axed ahead of the vital qualifier...
Amavubi assistant coach Eric Nshimiyimana told The New Times that the team’s early departure is aimed at helping the players acclimatise to the North African weather.
Nshimiyimana also said that Bokota was dropped because he had failed to shake off an ankle injury, while Tuyizere, Birori and Sibomana failed a fitness test.
The quartet join Mbuyu Twite and Olivier Karekezi, who will miss the crucial qualifier.
Mbuyu, who sat out Egypt’s return leg victory over Amavubi due to suspension, was overlooked, while Karekezi faces four weeks on the sidelines after undergoing thigh surgery two weeks ago.
