Bafana Bafana's match against Japan will no longer be played at Durban's Moses Mabhida as originally planned, but will rather take place in Soweto at Orlando Stadium.
"I have been informed by Mike Sutcliffe [Ethekwini municipality manager] that the Moses Mabhida Stadium will not be ready on the day of the match. We have already advised the football federation of Japan about the change of venue and they have no problem about this. They are ready for the match."
The match will still be played on November 14, but before it, Bafana have an encounter lined up against Norway in Oslo on October 10.
The match in Europe will be the second time Bafana clash with Norway in a year, with the last result giving South Africa bragging rights with a 1-0 win in the World Cup host nation.
Bafana coach Joel Santana is under pressure to register a few wins with the national side, and he will be hoping to replicate that win in Scandinavia come November.
