Injury Concern For France Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris After Diaby Clash
A collision between the custodian and Arsenal star Abou Diaby has left the former fighting a slight blow for the right to take his place in the France squad against Romania.

There is concern over France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris’ fitness after he collided with Abou Diaby accidentally in training on Wednesday, leaving him something of a doubt for Saturday’s important World Cup qualifying encounter against Romania, which is due to take place at the Stade de France.
Radio station RMC reports that the clash forced Lloris to retire from training and nurse his wound with an ice pack. The Olympique Lyonnais goalkeeper did not take part in the afternoon jogging session, retiring directly indoors.
Lloris made his first competitive start for les Bleus last month in the Faroe Islands, having usurped Olympique de Marseille custodian Steve Mandanda. It would therefore be a considerable blow for him if he was to lose his place immediately to his rival due to such an innocuous injury.
Whoever plays in goal is likely to be protected by a centre-back pairing of in-form Arsenal star William Gallas and Sevilla stalwart Julien Escude, as the duo trained together in the exercises Domenech contrived on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, France will have been boosted by the news that Adrian Mutu, Romania’s most recognised face and certainly their most potent goal threat, will be absent from proceedings on Saturday due to a problem with his right thigh.
