thumbnail Hello,

Goal.com takes a look at what the papers are saying ahead of tonight’s encounter with the All Whites of New Zealand in Confederations Cup action…

The three major newspapers all unanimously agree that three points are necessary for Bafana against the All Whites of New Zealand. The host national side is on one point after the 0-0 draw against Iraq in their first match.

The Star
: “We’ll KO the Kiwi’s, promises an upbeat Santana.” The daily newspaper led the line of media pressure on the South Africans by repeating what coach Joel Santana had said during yesterday’s press conference.

The Citizen
: “Crunch time for Bafana,” the paper announced, with an article declaring, “It’s do or die for Bafana.” The newspaper focused on how important the encounter is, with the next match against Spain in mind.

The Sowetan: “Bafana must attack.” The Soweto-based newspaper has tactical advice for Santana and his charges, hoping that the side will come out all guns blazing in an attempt to get all three points.
