Energie Cottbus coach Bojan Prasnikar commended his side after they managed to bring a point home from Dortmund.

The opening minutes of the fixture belonged to the hosts, who controlled the flow of play and stifled their guests' attack. Cottbus, however, were first to score (31’). Defender Cagdas Atan tapped the ball home moments after Ervin Skela hit the post with a long-range effort.

Cottbus' goal scoring hero turned the villain just moments later as he fouled Sebastian Kehl in the penalty area. Alexander Frei stepped to the spot and drilled a shot to the upper-left corner of goal, levelling the score at 1-1. There would be no further strikes.

"We are very satisfied to have secured a point away to a good side," Prasnikar said in his post-match interview on Premiere.

"In the first-half we played well and didn't permit them many chances. We didn't take the chance to double our lead, however.

"Dortmund managed to up the pressure on us in the second-half but we did well to stand firm.”

Despite this encouraging result, Energie dropped down into the relegation zone.
