The former Palermo star says that he observed his fellow South American closely on TV and set out to emulate him.
"Kaka was always the player I idolised the most when I was a child," Pastore told the official website of the club who finished runners-up in France last season.
"I watched him play all the time in order to try and learn from him, to maximise my progress," he added.
Kaka has been constantly linked with a move to the French capital since the appointment of his former AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti as manager, though he remains a Real Madrid player for the time being.
