Valencia Chief: Finances More Important Than Trophies
After a year of turmoil at Mestalla, the club's president - Vicente Soriano - has stated that sorting out the clubs financial dilemma is more important than the team winning any silverware this term.

Valencia's president has stated that pulling the club out of their economic crisis is more important than the team winning any trophies this season.
Vicente Soriano admits that los Che still face a struggle to reach a sound financial footing with reports regularly stating that debts of over €150 million have to be settled.
While coach Unai Emery continues to strive to lift the team into the top four and challenge for a place in the Champions League, the club supremo has different priorities.
"We are striving to find economic stability that, at the moment, is the most important thing for the club, even more so than any sporting achievements," AS quote Soriano as saying.
"We are working 24-hours-a-day to achieve that although sometimes things do not always turn out like you think they might.
"But I have to say that we are all convinced that we can overcome all this."
Soriano recognised that the past 12 months ahve not been much fun for Valencia's fans and hopes that 2009 will be more enjoyable on all fronts.
"I hope for everyone connected to the club that Valencia has a better a new year than 2008 has been," he added.
