Valencia face St. Etienne in a top-of-the-table UEFA Cup clash on Wednesday evening, knowing that only a win can see them grab first place.

Should they lose to the French side they could even finish third in the group - and it is probably for this reason that Unai Emery has named a strong squad to go to France.

AS reports that Valencia will travel with most of their top players, but will be without Emiliano Moretti for the match.

The Italian missed the Barcelona game through injury, but returned against Espanyol this weekend, only to succumb to injury again.

Similarly, Los Che will be without Miguel Angulo and Pablo Hernández, both of whom are recovering from knocks they have picked up.

It is not yet known for how long Moretti will be out, but he is undergoing tests this afternoon and it should be revealed in the next few days.

Valencia came from behind to beat Espanyol at the weekend, but face a tough test next in La Liga against Real Madrid, potentially meaning they will rest some players in the UEFA Cup.

Valencia squad to face Saint-Etienne:
Renan, Guaita, Miguel, Albiol, Marchena, Curro Torres, Del Horno, Albelda, Maduro, Hugo Viana, Joaquín, Fernandes, Baraja, Vicente, Zigic, Mata, Silva, Morientes, Villa.
