Villa Hopeful Valencia Can Learn From Defeat

Forward David Villa does not think that there is any reason to worry for Valencia and hopes his team can learn from the defeat by Sporting de Gijón on Saturday evening.

The Spain international was unhappy that los Che were beaten for the second consecutive time at home in the league after going down to Racing Santander last time out.

Instead of worrying though, Villa was keen to lift morale at the club and believes that if the team can see the mistakes that they made and stop them then things will change.

"These are difficult games and we have to learn and to find a solution. It is not a big problem because we cannot go from being good to bad so quickly," Marca quoted him as saying.

"I do not think that it is a matter of fitness or lack of organisation. We have tried to go forward all game and we dominated the last half and hour."

Villa netted his 100th goal in the Spanish top flight, but that did not help in a game that he felt Valencia could have, and should have, won.

"It was a very even game. We could not find our rhythm from the start and we know that we have made mistakes in both game," he continued.

"We have given away soft goals and it has then been difficult to turn things around. They were very good. They closed us down and they were always at my back giving me no space."
