Goal picks out the best talent from a weekend in Germany which saw Schalke, BVB and Bayer Leverkusen pick up just one point between them
With Bayern Munich over in Morocco to pick up yet another trophy, all eyes were on Borussia Dortmund, Schalke and Bayer Leverkusen on matchday 17 of the Bundesliga, with all three suffering disappointing results after poor performances. There were plenty of good showings elsewhere in Germany, though.
The first name in Goal's Team of the Week is Hoffenheim keeper Jens Grahl. Markus Gisdol's side may have suffered defeat to Eintracht Braunschweig but the 25-year-old made a number of impressive saves as his run in the first team continued.
Werder Bremen claimed an important win over Leverkusen, with Sebastian Prodl's performance a particular highlight, with the Austrian joined at the back by team-mate Santiago Garcia and Braunschweig's Ermin Bicakcic.
Perhaps the highlight of the weekend was Borussia Monchengladbach's 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg, where Raffael and Diego scored their sides' opening goals. The Brazilian duo is joined in midfield by Freiburg's Gelson Fernandes and Hajime Hosogai, who was key in Hertha Berlin's 2-1 win over Dortmund.
Sami Allagui was the best player on the Signal Iduna Park turf on Saturday, scoring the capital club's winner lines up in attack with Shinji Okazaki and Admir Mehemdi, who both scored doubles for Mainz and Freiburg respectively.
