Udinese were under pressure as Chievo searched for an opener in the first half, but Handanovic came to his side's rescue to preserve a scoreless draw. The Slovenian goalkeeper made a fine double save to deny Michael Bradley and Rinaldo Cruzado before stopping Cyril Thereau's penalty.

Napoli's win over Novara kept them in with a chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League and the ability of Maggio to get forward down the right caused the minnows all sorts of difficulty. He linked up well with his team-mates and also had a header cleared off the line. Meanwhile, young centre-back Camporese was dominant at the back for the Viola, keeping Diego Milito & Co. from creating any danger at all in their 0-0 draw with Inter.

Bologna also picked up a point against one of Serie A's Milanese giants by drawing 1-1 at San Siro, with Cherubin playing a key role in shackling Zlatan Ibrahimovic for large spells of the match. At left-back, De Ceglie had a relatively free run down the flank and sent in several dangerous crosses to set up two of his side's four strikes as the Bianconeri embarrassed Roma.

MIDFIELDERS

Arturo VIDAL

Blerim DZEMAILI
Napoli

Vidal features in our Best XI once again and he has been the driving force for Juventus in the second half of the season. The former Bayer Leverkusen player's quickfire double, both fine first-time finishes, ended the clash against Roma as a contest within the first 10 minutes!

Further south, despite the absence of Ezequiel Lavezzi, Napoli did not miss a beat thanks to his deputy Dzemaili. The former Torino star unselfishly set up Edinson Cavani for the opener after a poor clearance, and dominated the centre of the pitch, arguably deserving a goal himself.

Alejandro GOMEZ
Catania

Gaston RAMIREZ

Franco BRIENZA
Siena

Catania's stellar season under coach Vincenzo Montella continues to draw headlines with Europa League football remaining an outside possibility for the Sicilians, and a 30-yard screamer from speedy winger Gomez was the highlight of their 2-0 win over Atalanta. Meanwhile, Ramirez put Milan on the back foot with a great run and finish after Alessandro Diamanti had pick-pocketed Mark van Bommel to set him up. The Uruguayan's burst of pace and ingenuity ensured the Rossoneri had difficulty keeping him quiet.

Genoa endured a miserable Sunday as their Ultras caused their 4-1 defeat to Siena to be stopped for 40 minutes, overshadowing an exceptional display from Brienza. The ex-Palermo playmaker struck his side's first from a set-piece at the Marassi before ferociously volleying in another. He also grabbed an assist on Sunday afternoon.

FORWARDS

Mirko VUCINIC
Juventus

Finally, Vucinic proved to be the architect behind the dismantling of his former side. The striker had a hand in all four of Juventus' goals against the Giallorossi, releasing three fine passes to split Roma's back four before setting up Claudio Marchisio with a neat flick for the icing on the cake.
