Sergio RAMOS

Adil Rami was not perfect against Granada as the Valencia centre-back gave the ball away a number of times in the first half, but became stronger as the match progressed. The French defender got the better of Ighalo and Uche, helping Los Che to a 1-0 away win.

Julien Escude was strong and confident at the back for Sevilla, making a number of important challenges against Atletico. Sergio Ramos did not have much to do as Real Madrid overpowered Espanyol 5-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu with ease, but the Spain international centre-back made one diving header clearance and kept the backline organised.

Markel Susaeta was the star at San Mames this weekend as he scored both the goals in Athletic Bilbao’s 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad. Eliseu came off the bench to inspire Malaga to a 3-1 comeback win against Getafe, scoring a brilliant equaliser and then teeing up Jeremy Toulalan for the Andalucian side’s second goal.

Seydou Keita
and Andres Iniesta were both magnificent in Barcelona’s 3-1 victory over Sporting Gijon at Camp Nou. While Keita scored a goal and constantly provided the base for attacking moves from the deeper end of the midfield, Iniesta netted one, set up another and was force in attack. Kaka was in a similar destructive mood for Madrid, scoring one and setting up two in Los Blancos’ demolition of Espanyol in the Spanish capital.
FORWARDS

MICHU
Rayo Vallecano

Gonzalo HIGUAIN
Real Madrid
TOTW Apps: 4

Gonzalo Higuain squandered two good chances initially but more than made up for them, netting a brace and providing assists for two goals in the win against Espanyol. Rayo Vallecano staged a stunning comeback against Racing Santander, and they rallied from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at home. The man crucial in that triumph was Michu, who bagged a double, scoring in either half.
