GOALKEEPER

Bernd LENO
Leverkusen

Marco Reus was on his best form for Gladbach on Saturday, but met his match in Bernd Leno, who made several tremendous saves. The youngster's stops kept Leverkusen in the game until the very end, and Andre Schurrle made it worthwhile as he scored a late equaliser.
DEFENDERS

Ammar JEMAL

Jerome Boateng did himself no favours in his quest to earn a starting role at centre-back as he put on a virtuoso display against Hertha on the right of defence. The former Manchester City man earned an assist and dominated the play on his flank. In Bremen, Dortmund had a very difficult task at hand as they faced red-hot hosts Werder. The champions' ability to keep a clean sheet was largely due to the heroic performance of Mats Hummels, whose anticipation and aggressive defending bailed out his understaffed team. Finally, Koln loanee Ammar Jemal stepped up and gave some much-needed support to his side's stricken defence as the Billy Goats managed to keep a clean sheet against Hannover.

MIDFIELDERS

Juan ARANGO
Monchengladbach

Bastian SCHWEINSTEIGER
Bayern

Monchengladbach were only able to manage a draw against Leverkusen on Saturday, but Juan Arango was immense for the hosts, who were in brilliant form. The Venezuela international was inspirational in the centre of the park and played a couple well-weighted balls to set up both of his team's goals. Bastian Schweinsteiger's rebound from a poor 2010-11 season continues. Against Hertha, the Germany international scored a sublime goal, and dictated the flow of play with ease in a crowded midfield. His positional awareness, quickness to the ball, and skill in possession meant the visitors could hardly get a touch before losing possession.

Ashkan DEJAGAH
Wolfsburg

Marco REUS

Franck RIBERY
Bayern

In setting up Mario Mandzukic's opener and winning a penalty that led to the winner, Ashkan Dejagah led Wolfsburg to a narrow victory over Nurnberg.  Marco Reus scored for Monchengladbach and was only denied on multiple other occasions by the brilliant Leno. Arguably the man of the round was Franck Ribery, who had a part in all four of his team's efforts against Hertha Berlin. He earned a goal and three assists on the day as the Bavarians cruised to a comfortable win.

FORWARDS

Dorge KOUEMAHA
Kaiserslautern

Lukas PODOLSKI
Koln
TOTW Apps: 3

In Gelsenkirchen, Dorge Kouemaha was the man of the match as Kaiserslautern won just their second game of the season. The Cameroonian striker had a goal and assist to lead the visitors to a surprise win. On Sunday, in-form striker Lukas Podolski led the way for Koln, scoring both goals in his side's 2-0 win over Hannover.
