Goalkeeper Enaut Zubikarai and midfielders David Zurutuza and Xabi Prieto feature in this week's line-up after the Basques beat Carlo Ancelotti's side 4-2 on Sunday

The second round of Primera Division matches saw Real Madrid suffer a painful 4-2 defeat at Real Sociedad on Sunday.

Carlo Ancelotti's men raced into a 2-0 lead, but conceded twice in the first half and then two more in the second as the Basque side sealed an impressive victory.

Elsewhere, Barcelona beat Villarreal and Atletico Madrid overcame Eibar, while there were also wins for Getafe, Valencia, Athletic Club and Sevilla.

Here, Goal takes a look at the standout performers from the second round of action.

In goal, Enaut Zubikarai is the first of three Real Sociedad players to feature following his heroics in the 4-2 win over Madrid at Anoeta, which included a number of important saves.

At the back, Valencia's Jose Luis Gaya is included following a solid showing in his side's 3-0 win over Malaga. He is joined by Abraham, who was excellent and scored a screamer as Eibar lost 2-1 to Atletico, and the Rojiblancos' Joao Miranda, in fine form at the other end.

The midfield features three Basques. Athletic's Ander Iturraspe impressed and scored the second as the Bilbao side beat Levante 3-0, while David Zurutuza netted twice for Real Sociedad against Madrid and Xabi Prieto was also excellent in Sunday night's game. Granada's Fran Rico also makes the cut after converting in his side's 1-1 draw at Elche.

In attack, Paco Alcacer was superb for Valencia and celebrated his Spain call-up with a goal at Mestalla, while Alberto Bueno scored both goals for Rayo Vallecano in their 2-2 at Deportivo La Coruna and Aritz Aduriz was on target for Athletic in their 3-0 victory over Levante.
