The Brazil-born striker impressed again for Atleti as Diego Simeone's side beat Getafe and is accompanied by four Real Madrid players from the Blancos' 4-0 win over Almeria

Barcelona lost ground in the race for La Liga at the weekend with defeat at Granada, while Atletico took another giant step towards the title.

The Catalans went down 1-0 in Andalucia, while Diego Simeone's men beat Getafe 2-0 to stay top and Real Madrid moved up to second after a 4-0 win over Almeria.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Villarreal, Sevilla, Valencia and Athletic Bilbao in the 33rd round of Primera Division action. Here, Goal takes a look at the standout performers from the weekend games.

Vicente Guaita was on form for Valencia and kept Elche at bay with a number of fine saves in his side's 2-1 success at Mestalla.

At the back, Fabio Coentrao impressed for Madrid in place of the injured Marcelo, while Aymeric Laporte shone for Athletic in their 3-0 win over Malaga and Diego Colotto scored a late equaliser for Espanyol in the Catalans' 2-2 draw at home to Rayo Vallecano.

The midfield is dominated by Real Madrid, with Angel Di Maria, Gareth Bale and Isco all on target and impressive in their team's triumph on Saturday. Those three are joined by Granada's match-winner Yacine Brahimi.

In attack, Diego Costa scored again on what was eventful evening for the Brazil-born forward, who also missed a penalty and went off with a nasty cut after colliding with the post as he netted his late strike in Atleti's 2-0 win. For Sevilla, meanwhile, Kevin Gameiro was on target twice in the 2-0 derby success at Betis, while Aritz Aduriz netted two for Athletic at San Mames on Monday.
