Juventus finally failed to win and Milan left it late in another sizzling Serie A weekend, but Inter's attempts to get back on track were halted by a one-man show by Alberto Frison. The Catania goalkeeper was outstanding in the 0-0 draw at San Siro.
Along with Luca Antonini's goalscoring performance for Genoa at Fiorentina, Mattia Cassani was a real weekend star as Parma overcame Udinese. Meanwhile, Cesare Natali helped to ensure Bologna escaped from their trip to Sampdoria with a point and Emerson was rock solid in Livorno's crucial 3-1 win over Sassuolo at the Picchi.
Marco Benassi netted once and set up another in that Livorno win, but the undoubted star of the weekend slots alongside him in our midfield. Alberto Aquilani's magnificent hat-trick might not have been enough to win Fiorentina all three points against Genoa, but it does ensure him top marks in the Team of the Week.
Ahead of Aquilani, Alessio Cerci continued his fantastic season at the heart of Torino's attacking play and scored the penalty winner against Atalanta, and Gervinho was also a scorer as Roma won at Verona. Alessandro Diamanti's performance kept Bologna interested at Sampdoria and his late penalty earned the Rossoblu a point.
Juventus' Fernando Llorente grabs the lone striker role after a magnificent header won the 10-man Old Lady a point at Lazio, capping a great individual performance.
